The owner of a pit bull that bit a 5-year-old Longview boy in August has been charged with forgery and owning a dangerous dog. Both charges are felonies.

Kimberly Vasquez, 38, of Longview is scheduled for her first appearance in Cowlitz County Superior Court on Dec. 4, according to Chief Criminal Deputy Prosecutor Michelle Shaffer.

Vasquez, who hasn’t surrendered the 3-year-old pit bull named Lexi to animal control, is accused of failing to meet the requirements for a dangerous dog. She also is accused of forging Lexi’s rabies certificate, which resulted in the dog-bite victim needing to undergo a series of rabies shots

Animal activists call for change after chimpanzees escape – www.ktnv.com

Animal activists call for change after chimpanzees escape

These chimpanzies did not hurt anyone but and I quote Linda Faso

“Their hands have the strength of five to seven men,” says Linda Faso. “They are dangerous and have instincts. You never know if a sound, smell or noise will trigger them.”

Faso has long been pushing for a state law to ban people from keeping chimps, and other exotic animals, in homes.

“It often takes an animal death, or something awful to happen to them, to bring attention to this issue,” she says. “Like in this case, an innocent animal lost its life, another was tranquilized. People shouldn’t have these wild animals as pets. As citizens, it is our responsibility to make sure laws change. These animals don’t have a voice.”

Now realizing that pit bull sescape often and do maim, maul, seriously injure and kill people, why are these same people not speaking put and demanding the laws be changed to protect the innocent. Why are these same people not speaking out for the innocent victims who lost thier lives in pit bull attacks and so cannpt speak for them selves?

Why is it that chimpanzies have instincts and so are dangerous but a pit bulls insticts to attack, fight, and kill don’t make them dangerous in animal activists eyes? The double standards that pity bull owners and advocates apply to the dogs is overwhelming. All the truths we know about animals, dogs, instincts are fine for every other animal on earth. But when it is a pit bull you are talking about suddenly none of that applies to their dogs./ That would make them a mirace dog, that would make them the only animal on earth that does not act upon its instincts and genetec heritage. That is one reason pit bull advocates and owners are as dangerous as the dogs.

I have to point out one comment in the story.

Hannah Stevens Said.

“One of them looked right at me. They eventually climbed over the backyard wall and were gone. I was scared. They seemed agitated. They could have really hurt someone.”

They could have, they might have, they are capable of hurting someone. But what about pit bulls, they are not just capable of hurting someone they hurt people seriously every day, so why is a chimp that “might” hurt someone so dangerous, BUT pit bulls that hurt thousands a year and kill more than all other dogs combined are not dangerous?

Can anyone else see the toal lack of logic and reasoning in the pit bull advocates arguments and the deception in their statements designed to convince you their fantasy is reality?
